This is a good map that shows where we stayed on our vacation the week before Christmas. Up at the north of WA, by Port Angeles, there are two small towns called Sequim and Blyn. We stayed between Blyn and Port Townsend which is the city to the east of Blyn. Blyn is where the Indian reservation was. Sequim is a sweet little town we went to a couple of times. And we went to Port Townsend once. There is an old Army Base there that is now a national park. Very cool.
We swam every day. There was an indoor pool and hot tub. Most days were were the only ones at the pool. It wasn't a deep pool, so Brian and Andrew were able to swim without much fear.
We played games every day. We started keeping a log of the games we played and who won each game, but unfortunately for most of us, after Rachel and Scott's name were the only ones we were writing down, we stopped doing that.
We were happy to see the resort has a boat launch and a dock, so if we go in the summer we can bring our boat!
This day we decided to make a gingerbread house that we got for Christmas last year. Our kids loved it!
Can you say gross! Eric get your hand out of your mouth!!!
This is the finished product. Held together by lots of love.
This is the dock I was telling you about. This picture was taken out our balcony.
Brian, Rachel and Scott were checking out the dock. Rachel said she even touched a starfish. Pretty cool.
We also entered a scavenger hunt contest. We came in second! We thought we were first because we came in first but a family started after us and finished in less time. We were not happy!!! The sad part about that is we spent most of our time making sure we got the exact thing the riddle was telling us to, and most people were not as particular as we were. In the end they never checked the bags!!! We are too competitive as a family and this really bugged! But we cowboyed up and smiled and took our loss with a half-grin.
