Fishing at Bradley Lake

So, we can walk to Bradley Lake Park from our house.  So the other day the boys and Rachel decided they wanted to go fishing.  It was a fun day of casting.  The only thing they caught was lake scum.  we thought they would only last about an hour, but they loved it.  We had to tear them from the lake.  I am going to miss summer.

August Fun

Brian with his best friend Sam at Andrew's Cub Scout Camp
We got to go to a Rainier Baseball game, paid for by Key Bank!  We got to watch the game from Key Bank's box, and they fed us!  It was so fun.  To top it off, before the game we got to go down on the field and in the dugout.  The kids loved it.

Holly and Dan's family came and we took them to Seattle.  That is Meg, Andrew, David and Brian playing on the Fremont Bridge Troll.  We took them to Pikes Market, but it was so crazy crowded!  We had fun sticking gum to the wall, and taking pics next to some of our favorite celebrities.  In the end we went home, took them to Menchies and Sushi.  They liked that the best!

Knee Surgery.  Scott took good care of me!!
FHE.  Had to go get a new Monopoly game our friends told us about.  It is now one of our favorite games.  Mega Monopoly.  Super fun.
Also had fun on the boat. This is my job, holding up the flag.  I have amazing flag holding muscles.

Nelson Reunion: Olympic Games

Who came up with this increadibly messy olympic games...oh yeah...Uncle Todd.  So, Wendy is on the very top of the picture getting whipped cream dropped on her face.  Andrew is the unfortunate boy right next to her.  The person above needed to get the whipping cream in the mouths below to score points.
The kids had to get all the worms from their pudding.  This is Andrew.
 Rachel and her cousins...
This was shot put I think.  We needed to throw chips on their faces.  The most chips on the face won.
Adults had to be blindfolded and fed babyfood, by a child who is also blindfolded.  While the children had to be blindfolded and eat pudding.   I think the baby food flavor was turkey dinner.  Yum...blah.
Chew salteens, chew gum, blow bubble.  Biggest bubble wins.
Wendy and Scott were both contenders.  This is Wendy starting her bubble.  Funny pic.
Kids and Adults ran a 5 k to start the day off.  (That is 3.1 miles)  Andrew ran it!  Good job.  I think he walked most of it, but hey that is still great.
 Eric ran/walked it too.
Scott ran it.  Hated the elevation.  Utah had thin air.  (at 4500 ft.)
Here are the first 4 finishers.  I don't think Scott was too happy about the two other fingers he is holding up.
Rachel ran it too.  I think she came in before Andrew and Eric.
This is the mighty start of the race.  Wendy didn't run, she had a bad knee.  But took great pics.

The Nelson Reunion: Minute to Win It

Eric had to hold dice at the tip of his popsicle stick...
I had to spin around and get the toilet paper off the roll without it breaking or touching the ground.  Got really sick and dizzy doing it...
Brian is pulling kleenex out of the container.  Had to do it all under a min.
In the end, we all had fun, some got sick, and everyone got into a huge water fight at the end.  Good times.

Nelson Reunion: Lagoon

 Thirsty?
 Rollercoastering
Megan with Rachel on a little ferris wheel
Wendy's sister Holly and neice Meg got to join our rockin reunion for the day.  Best treat ever!!
Fun times at Lagoon...

Nelson Reunion: Iron Chef

This has nothing at all to do with the Iron Chef Competion, I just think this is funny.  Brian toar off his shirt and started swinging it around his head.  Skinny little funny guy!!

Secret ingredient:  Canned Pineapple
We got two hours to plan, shop and make our creation
Had to spend less than 8 dollars, and use what we had at our condos
Rachel was on Grandma, and Grandma Great, and Zak's team.  They made pineapple icecream w/ a delicious pineapple, carmalized topping.  It was amazing!
Scott was on Kevin, Katelyn and Dax's team.  They made carmelized pineapple, cherry chocolate topping.  It was so good.
Eric (The one you can't see, blindfolded in the back...???) was on Kelly, Jenny, Emily and Dustin's team.  They made pinapple upside down cake, AND pineapple fruit kabobs with a dipping sauce. YUMMY!
Wendy was on Brittney, Daphni, Brian and Aaron's team.  They made an amazing pineapple-cherry dump cake.
This is the winning team.  They made a savory pineapple french bread pizza, AND a pina colada smoothy.  Both devine!  (None of our little Nelson family was on that team...go figure...)
Andrew was on Cassidy, Whittney, Becky and the twins Beck and Reese's team.  They made an amazing pina colada cake.  I had a hard time not taking thirds of that cake.

I do have to mention the other team, Bob and Tom's team.  They made grilled pinapple with ice cream and cherries on top.  Unfortunately, judgeing and pictures took too long and their beautiful creations were not up to picture quality.  The taste was wonderful though...
All done!  All gone.

More fun pictures from our Ocean Shores camping trip

This is a bike show Scott and the kids watched.  I wish I could say that was us on the bikes, but that would be kinda not true, nor believable...
Fun with the Jumbo Sized marshmallows...

Eric was not with us on this trip, he was at EFY in Utah...He would've loved this.

Okay, look at Brian in this picture...can you say "Sugar Coma"?  And, I think that is a jumbo marshmallow Andrew is decimating...  Camping is so fun!
