Roller Skating Fun

Family at the Skating Rink
Andrew was hot, swetty and bruised beyond belief, but he kept going and going...

Eric was helping Brian

Rachel got some new skates from Santa Clause, and that is why we had to go.
She got pretty good on her new skates.

New Year's Eve Fun!!!

One show that we like to watch as a family is "Cupcake Wars" on the Food Network channel. Rachel loves the show. We were watching it on New Year's Eve, and Rachel said,"I've never been to a cupcake store. I would love to go someday." (This was the 28th time we have heard her say this.) So we said, "Let's go find one right now!" There was a wonderful store in Tacoma, and there we had ourselves a wonderful calorie-ful treat.
Scott had the above coconut cupcake...very tasty!

Brian picked the Gingerbread and Maple frosting cupcake on the top...one of our favorites. And Rachel picked the Chocolate peppermint with Chocolate peppermint buttercream. Very nice.

I, Wendy, chose one of their best-selling carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. It was too delicious.

As you can see, this is a child who has just had a dream come true.

This was Andrew's choice...vanilla with vanilla buttercream.
And Eric chose the ever-popular red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting.

In the end we all shared bites with each other and our top 3 favorites were
1. Ginger bread (unfortunately seasonal)
2. Carrot Cake
3. Coconut
If you ever want to have a magical sweet experience, the place is called "hello, Cupcake" on Pacific Ave. in Tacoma, across the street from Union Station. Let us know if you go, and what you liked.
