Brian's 6th Birthday!

Brian turned 6!  He had a special day in Kindergarden.  Dad miraculously had the day off, so Mom and Dad got to bring him yummy donuts to share with his class.  Everyone sang to Brian and he was all smiles!

After School, Dad and Mom took Brian to McDonalds for a Happy Meal!  What a treat!
When Brian got home he got to play the Wii all by himself for as long as he wanted!  (Special Birthday treat for all Nelson kids.)
Because it was recently Halloween, Brian was wanting a ghost cake with Halloween Candy on it.  This is the best Scott and I could come up with.  It was kinda fun to eat all the candy off the cake!
I was feeling kinda bad because I didn't plan any party for Brian and he kept asking me when his friends were coming over to celebrate his birthday.  So, I desperately called my friends and asked them if they could spare their children for a surprise party for Brian that night.  All my friends came through and we had a very fun surprise party for Brian that night.  All the kids were so excited to jump out and yell surprise to Brian when he came home from the dollar store with his dad.
Brian made a wish and blew out all his candles in one huff!  I'm sure his wish will come true!

Halloween at the Nelsons

We were invited to carve pumpkins with a couple of families in our ward for Family Home Evening.  We had such a fun time, and we were able to carve our very first alien jack-o-lantern.

I think it was Eric's design.

For a Young Men activiy, Scott and Eric had fun carving two more pumpkins.

This is the Thompsons at our party.  They won best costume!
Scott and I threw a family potluck Halloween party for a few families in the ward.  We need a bigger house to invite all the people I wanted to invite, like most of the ward, but I think with the few families we did have, my house was bursting at the seams.  The kids had a fabulous time.

Here are Rachel, Jessie, and little Lia being girls together.

On Halloween night, we had some visitors from the ward.  Here is the Titus family and all their so- sweet wonderful kids.

Ron, Lisa, Leah, and baby boy, also came to trick-or-treat.  Dosen't Lia make a beautiful Snow White!

Eric dressed up as a Toyota Salesman, Rachel a Cat, Andrew a Jedi Knight and Brian Dash from Disney's Incredibles.  They came home with so much candy!  I think we will have a candy stash until next Halloween.  Crystle Ridge is the place to trick-or-treat.
